ALE operation leads to 18 arrests, 2 Wilmington bars issued violations
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — North Carolina Alcohol Law Enforcement special agents arrested 226 people on alcohol, drug and other charges during an state-wide operation last week. Some of those crimes happened in New Hanover County.
According to the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation, there were 18 arrests and 22 charges within the county.
Some of the offenses included two drivers with fake IDs, underage purchases, marijuana possession, and unauthorized possession of liquor.
Two Wilmington bars, The Palace on Shipyard Boulevard and Tommy’s on Greenfield Street were also given written warnings for ABC violations.
