Alisha Watts Suspect in Court
TROY, NC (WWAY) — James Dunmore, the man accused of killing his girlfriend Allisha Watts, appeared in court this morning.
Dunmore’s defense team filed a motion asking the judge to release him after medical examiners autopsy report listed Watt’s cause of death as “Undetermined.”
The judge denied the filing saying that while the autopsy report found no cause of death, it was because of the extreme state of decomposition of Watt’s body, not because of evidence that clears Dunmore.
The 39-year-old Watts was found dead in August, after being last seen leaving Dunmore’s Charlotte home on July 16th.
So far, no witnesses have come forward and no murder weapon has been found.
Dunmore will remain behind bars on a $1 million bond.
