Amber Alert issued for missing 15-year-old New Bern resident with autism

NEW BERN, N.C. (WWAY) — The New Bern Police Department issued the alert at 8:28 a.m. for Isaiah Kavon Owens.
Owens is described as a Black male with black hair and brown eyes. He is approximately 5 feet 4 inches tall and weighs about 100 pounds. He was last seen wearing a white hoodie, black pants and red-and-blue sneakers.
Police said Owens has autism and a speech delay.
Investigators believe Owens is with Kenneth Lee Brantley, a 43-year-old Black man. Brantley is described as 5 feet 2 inches tall, weighing about 162 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.
Brantley was last seen at the Palace Motel, Room 242, at 1901 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. He was reportedly wearing a white T-shirt with a colorful design and gray pants.
Authorities believe the two are traveling in a black 2012 GMC Yukon with South Carolina license plate XFH-752.
