Annual oyster festival in Ocean Isle Beach moves across town

OCEAN ISLE BEACH, NC (WWAY) — Broiled, fried, and baked mouth watering oysters of every kind will pack plates later this year for the 39th Annual North Carolina Oyster Festival.

Each year, Ocean Isle Beach hosts the two day event. This year it will be on October 19 and 20

The town is moving the festival to a new location on the island this fall. The reason? The town says construction is being done on the original site.

Thousands of tourists and locals will enjoy the fun in the open lot neighboring the town hall on West 3rd Street.

The location change will only impact this year.
