WILMINGTON, NC (StarNewsOnline.com) — The authority that oversees Wave Transit voted Thursday to pass a budget that would eliminate bus routes to northern New Hanover County and to Pleasure Island.
But the buses can't officially be halted for 90 days, and it is possible the routes could have a second act.
At the same meeting, the Cape Fear Public Transportation Authority passed a resolution urging New Hanover County to forgive a $133,000 loan – a move that could allow the routes to continue.
