Argument over missing cat turns violent

Just after 1:00 a.m., Deputies responded to a domestic situation that led to a male being stabbed in the upper shoulder. The male victim reported he and his girlfriend were arguing over their missing cat when the argument turned physical.

The victim was transported to New Hanover Regional Medical Center. Bonnie Lee Farischon, 63, charged with assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury, remains in custody at the New Hanover County Detention Facility under a $1,000 secured bond.
