Armed robbery at Columbus County Dollar General

COLUMBUS COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — The Columbus County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an armed robbery at the Dollar General.

According to the sheriff’s office, it happened Friday just before 8:00 p.m. at the Dollar General store in the 2000 block of James B White Hwy North.

Sheriff’s Office Spokeswoman Michele Tatum says a man entered the store and demanded cash while holding the clerks at gun point.

The suspect was wearing a camouflage hoodie. No one got hurt.
