Arrrrr ye ready for ‘The Feast of the Pirates’?


WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Pirates are invading downtown this weekend! The annual ‘Feast of the Pirates’ is back!

WHET holds the festival each year to coincide with Riverfest. Hurricane Matthew pushed both celebrations back to this weekend.

This is the second year it has been called ‘Feast of the Pirates’ to honor a festival that took place in Wilmington during the 1920s.

It kicks off with 21 and up ‘Pirates Parrrty’ Friday night from 7 – 11 P.M.. It is $30 per person or $50 for a couple to attend the party. Then Saturday and Sunday bring the whole family out for free fun on a pirate ship with reenactments, food, a beer garden, and more.
