Ash man jailed on multiple drug charges

BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — A Brunswick County man is in jail under a $1 million bond on several drug charges.

The Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office arrested Victor Demetrius Watson, 25, of Ash, early Thursday morning.

According to the sheriff’s office, following a search warrant conducted at the home, agents seized 44 bindles of heroin, 24 units of Alprazolam, more than $300 in cash,  and two guns.

He’s charged with the following:

• PWIMSD heroin
• PWIMSD SCH IV CS
• possession of drug paraphernalia
• two counts of possession of a firearm by a felon.

Watson is in the Brunswick County Detention Facility.  The investigation was initiated by tips from the community and was assisted by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms.
