ATF offers a $5k reward for gun stolen from Wilmington Police officer
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) has announced a $5,000 reward for information leading to the recovery of a firearm stolen from a Wilmington Police Department officer in Brunswick County.
On September 30, 2017, an unidentified suspect(s) broke into a parked Wilmington Police Department vehicle and stole a machine gun. The suspect(s) fled the scene afterwards. ATF and the Wilmington Police Department are investigating this crime.
Wilmington Police Department said in October 2017 that Crimestoppers is offering a reward of up to $5,000 is being offered to anyone with information.
