August 5: Cape Fear Hurricane Memories Forum

The historic first annual Cape Fear Hurricane Memories Forum, sponsored by WWAY News Channel 3, was held on Tuesday, August 5 at the Cape Fear Museum.

This event provided residents with the opportunity to meet with News Channel Three reporters and share their hurricane memories. WWAY meteorologist Sonya Stevens gave a presentation on the most unforgetable tropical storms to hit the Cape Fear region. This historic event produced a significant record of local history and WWAY News Channel 3 was there to capture it all.
