Authorities find body on Interstate 85

GREENSBORO, N.C. (AP) — Authorities have identified the body of a man found on Interstate 85 in Guilford County.

Emergency workers got a report early yesterday morning that a pedestrian had been struck on the highway. The sheriff's office says emergency personnel found the body of Rashad Levan Bellamy.

The Highway Patrol and the sheriff's office are investigating the cause of death. A spokesman for the patrol says it's unclear Bellamy had been struck by a vehicle or thrown from a vehicle.
