Bank robbery suspect linked to other bank robbery

BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — A man already facing robbery charges at a bank has now been linked to a second bank robbery.

Deputies say Grover Springs, 37, was arrested in connection with a bank robbery in Calabash on January 5. He’s facing charges of common law robbery and second degree kidnapping.

Shallotte Police now say Springs is also charged in a bank robbery in their town that occurred on September 17. That incident happened at the First Community Bank.

Springs is being held at the Brunswick County Detention Center on a $250,000 secured bond.
