Basketball fans fill Brogden Hall for charity game
Basketball fans of all ages came out to Brogden Hall Tuesday night to see Tyler Hansbrough and the Carolina Barnstorming Tour.
Several UNC seniors were joined by Duke’s David McClure and former Wake Forest star Antwan Scott as they played a group of local high school all-stars for charity.
While Hansbrough and company were there to put on a show, the local boys did not disappoint the packed house as Laney’s Antwan Bosier threw down a dunk of his own.
“We’re just having some fun out here, you know goofing around trying to come out here, celebrate with all our fans that don’t get up to the Smith Center,” said Hansbrough.
New Hanover High senior Jermaine Jones said, “Not all the schools in the country can say they played with these guys, they won a national championship.”
The high school all-stars put up a valiant effort, but they were on the short end of a 134-75 score.
Proceeds went to the Ronald McDonald House and New Hanover High School.
