Battleship bow repairs finished

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Bow repairs at the Battleship North Carolina are done.

Taylor Brothers Marine Construction finished the project within the contract time frame and under budget. The company replaced steel plates at the “wind-water” line on the starboard bow.

As that project ends, a new project starts.

Taylor brothers will now repair the main and forward mast. The project is expected to wrap up in 30 to 60 days and paid for using the ship’s general operations fund.
