Battleship NC in running for USA Today 10 Best list for museum ships
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — The USS North Carolina has been named one of the best museum ships in the country.
The Battleship is one of 20 museum ships in the running for the latest USA Today 10 BEST series.
The Wilmington Riverfront and Carolina Beach Boardwalk have been named in previous lists in the series.
Voting for the best museum ship goes until July 18 to decide the top ten.
In addition to being one of North Carolina’s most popular tourist attractions, the Battleship serves as North Carolina’s World War II memorial.
