Battleship wants to show off ‘Dirty Jobs’

Keeping a war relic in shape is messy work. So much so the folks at the Battleship North Carolina want to feature the work on national TV.

Staff and volunteers who help maintain the state’s World War II memorial are trying to get the Discovery Channel show “Dirty Jobs” to shoot an episode on board. They’ve started a forum on the show’s website citing efforts to battle mud and rust among other grimy duties.
