BB gun fired at Charlotte school bus, one injured
CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) — Police in Charlotte say someone fired a
BB gun at a school bus, injuring one passenger as it carried
students home from an elementary school.
WCCB in Charlotte reported that Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police say
the bus was carrying students from Devonshire Elementary School
around 4:20 p.m. when the incident occurred about 100 yards from
the school. Police said the bus was full, carrying approximately 50
students.
Authorities say one girl sustained minor injuries after a small
piece of the glass cut her cheek, but she was not hit by the
pellet. She was transported to a nearby hospital because of her
age. Neither the bus driver nor any other students were hurt.
