Beach visitors experience minor effects from Beryl

WRIGHTSVILLE BEACH, NC (WWAY) — As Tropical Depression Beryl makes its way to Southeastern North Carolina, beachgoers have noticed some changes during their time on the shoreline this afternoon.

There is a yellow flag up for all of Wrightsville Beach right now as a caution for swimmers to try and avoid rip currents. Beachgoers say the wind has picked up a little today and the water is pretty rough.

New Hanover County Emergency Management is not taking any precautionary measures and they expect minimal impact to the coast.
