Beau’s Coffee expanding to new, larger location
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — A popular Port City coffee shop run by folks with intellectual and developmental disabilities is growing.
Beau’s Coffee will soon set up shop at a new, larger location, according to the company’s Facebook page.
They say they have been bursting at the seams since they opened in January, with limited seating and long lines. But that’s about to change, thanks to a big donation.
The Rippy family has donated a space much larger than its current location on Wrightsville Avenue, according to the post. Beau’s will set up at their new shop inside the old Hummer building at 4949 New Centre Drive.
The company says the space will feature a library space, private meeting space and outdoor seating. The company says it will also be able to expand their menu, offering things like sandwiches and salads.
Beau’s says it is excited to create even more jobs with the new space, which will open up in July.
