Bellamy Elementary celebrates Read Across America

Bellamy Elementary School continued to celebrate Read Across America today.

The day is set-aside in honor of Dr. Suess’ birthday to promote literacy in the classroom.

WWAY meteorologist Jerry Jackson read from some of his favorite children’s books and taught the kids a little bit about the weather.

The National Education Association sponsors Read Across America, which is now in its twelfth year.
