Belville Elementary gets grant to buy smart boards for classrooms
BELVILLE, NC (WWAY) — Belville Elementary in Brunswick County will be able to increase technology used in the classroom thanks to a big grant.
The Landfall Foundation fully funded a grant for $7,500 for the school’s “Smartboards for Classrooms” project. The school system says the grant will be used to purchase more SmartPanel devices with a goal of putting one in every classroom.
The Landfall Foundation has been awarding grants to organizations in the community for the past 22 years.
Belville’s project is one of 74 for a total of more than $360,000, nearly half of which goes toward education.
