Big Macs for the Battleship returns this weekend in southeastern North Carolina
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Area McDonald’s restaurants are again chipping in to help take care of the Battleship North Carolina.
This weekend, McDonald’s will donate 50 cents from every Big Mac sold at participating locations to the Battleship’s restoration fund as part of the annual Big Macs for the Battleship campaign. The campaign starts Friday and runs through Monday.
“We are proud to continue to help support the Battleship in its endeavors to maintain the historical integrity of the ship,” said Dennis Anderson, who owns and operates McDonald’s locations around the region. “By partnering with the North Carolina, McDonald’s is helping restore the state’s memorial that honors the Greatest Generation and all who have served.”
Participating McDonald’s locations include Beulaville, Burgaw, Carolina Beach, Clinton, Fairmont, Hampstead, Kenansville, Leland, Lumberton, Newton Grove, Pembroke, Rocky Point, Shallotte, Southport, St. Pauls, Sunset Beach, Supply, Surf City, Wallace, Warsaw, Whiteville and Wilmington, in North Carolina and Darlington and Hartsville in South Carolina.
