Bike for Every Child program rides off into the sunset!

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — A mission to get children a bicycle for free and teach them valuable life lessons in the process helped nearly 200 kids get a bike.

Program founder Kelly Cascaden, of “A Bike for Every Child”,  says the most recent project ended with a total of 194 bikes being given to kids who did not have one.

Wilmington Police also helped teach them how to be safe on the roads and bike experts showed them how to repair/keep the bikes in good shape.

The bikes were donated from the community and then refurbished to like-new condition.
