Bill Clinton to headline Boseman event in Raleigh

RALEIGH — State Sen. Julia Boseman will get a head start on fundraising for her 2010 election when Bill Clinton attends a fundraiser for her later this month.

Boseman told The Charlotte Observer that the former president will headline her event Jan. 26 in Raleigh. Clinton also will help raise money for U.S. Rep. Heath Shuler, D-N.C., that same day. Clinton already will be in Raleigh speaking at North Carolina State University.

Boseman traveled with the former president last year in North Carolina while stumping for Hillary Clinton during the Democratic presidential primary.

Boseman spent hundreds of thousands of dollars in her successful re-election bid over Republican Michael Lee. She has served in the state Senate since 2005.
