Black History Month: The Impact of Meadowlark Lemon

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY)- Amanda Fitzpatrick sat down with Coast 97.3’s Brandon Hickman to talk about the impact that Meadowlark Lemon had on basketball and the community.

Hickman says Lemon helped change the face of American History, Black History, and Sports history. Hickman also said, “Lemon has before Kings, Queens, Presidents, Popes and for millions of fans all over the world.” Hickman says He is known as the “Ambassador of Goodwill in Short Pants and the Clown Prince of Basketball. As a philanthropist, actor, and minister, he used his talents to give back to his community in Wilmington and the world!”
