Black Friday well underway

The holiday shopping rush is officially underway.

Shoppers braved dropping temperatures early this morning to be among the first in line at Independence Mall in Wilmington and other shopping centers.

Some stores opened as early as 4 a.m. Others didn’t even wait for Black Friday. They opened Thursday afternoon to cash in on sales and promotions.
