Bladen County Schools announce plan to make up missed days

BLADEN COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — Students in Bladen County will go to school a little longer than planned to make up for two days they missed because of winter weather.

Starting Wednesday, the district will add 10 minutes to the end of each school day for the remainder of the school year to make up for closing on Feb. 17. June 8 will now become a student day, changing from a required teacher workday, to make up for the day missed Feb. 24.

June 9, 10, and 11 will be required teacher workdays, and June 12 will be an optional teacher workday.
