Bladen man heads to prison after attempted murder guilty plea
BLADEN COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — A Bladen County man will spend at least 10 years in prison after pleading guilty to attempted first-degree murder, according to the District Attorney’s Office.
Curtis Levi Moore admitted earlier this month to shooting at a Bladenboro woman who came home Jan. 18, 2012, to find Moore and another man leaving her house after breaking in. The woman was shot twice in her right side.
A judge sentenced Moore to between 10 years four months and 13 years five months for the crime.
Moore’s co-defendant Elijah McCutchen has pleaded guilty to felony assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury. He is in jail awaiting his sentencing next week, prosecutors say.
