Bladenboro and Whiteville to receive federal funds

Federal stimulus funds are on the way to this area.

On Wednesday, Senator Kay Hagan’s office announced grants for projects in Bladenboro and Whiteville.

The town of Bladenboro will receive $300,000 in loans and grants for construction of a new town hall.

The city of Whiteville will get $240,000 for eight new police cars.
