Blanket donations help keep shelter dogs warm this winter

WINNABOW, NC (WWAY) — It’s the season of giving, but giving back doesn’t just mean helping out people. Some furry friends in Brunswick County could use your help this holiday season.

Paws Place in Winnabow is a no kill shelter that rescues and adopts out dogs from the surrounding area. They are looking for blanket donations to help keep their pooches warm as the temperatures drop.

“Twin, full size and queen fit nicely in igloos and our washers. Regular good old fashioned blankets are the best,” said a post on the Paws Place Facebook page.

Blanket drop-off locations are at the kennel in Winnabow, Stevens Hardware on Dawson St., and Unleashed of Wilmington on Military Cutoff.
