Bobby Seale to speak at Guilford College

GREENSBORO — A co-founder and former chairman of the Black Panther Party will speak on “The Liberation of a People” at Guilford College in Greensboro.

Bobby Seale will speak March 25. The News & Record of Greensboro reported that a brief book signing and question-and-answer session will follow the talk.

Seale and Huey Newton founded the Black Panther Party in 1966. Seale has focused on community activism in recent years, forming the youth education group REACH! and publishing the REACH
Chronicles, an online magazine.

Guilford’s Native American Club and Blacks Unifying Society are sponsoring the event.
