Body found in Cape Fear River

Police are working to determine whether a body found this afternoon in the Cape Fear River is that of Brent Henry.

Witnesses say they saw Henry jump off the Thomas Rhodes Bridge on Wednesday.

Personnel aboard the North Carolina State Port police boat spotted the body, near the dock in front of the federal courthouse on Water Street.

New Hanover County Sheriff’s detectives are continuing the investigation.
