Boiling Spring Lakes man charged again with impersonating an officer
BOILING SPRING LAKES (WWAY) — Boiling Spring Lakes Police say a Brunswick County man faces more charges for impersonating a police officer.
Police say Anthony Mark Collins, 28, is charged with a second count of impersonating a police officer.
Officers said in a release last week that while they were responding to a domestic disturbance call, Collins told them he was a law enforcement officer and that he was on duty.
Police said he had a badge, a handgun and handcuffs in his possession.
A follow-up interview with the victim resulted in the additional charge filed against Collins.
Collins was served with the warrant for his arrest Tuesday by the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office.
