Police search for ‘armed, dangerous’ man after allegedly assaulting two people

BOILING SPRING LAKES, NC (WWAY) — Boiling Spring Lakes Police are looking for an “armed and dangerous” man after he allegedly assaulted two people, stabbing one, early Wednesday morning.

Police Chief Brad Shirley said a woman was stabbed in a home in the 200 block of Crabapple Road around 3:30 a.m. He said she is facing non-life threatening injuries.

The victim was taken to New Hanover Regional Medical Center.

Shirley said police believe the victim and the suspect knew each other, but they are not positive on that yet. He said police were not notified for about 30 minutes after it happened.

Police say the second victim, a man, suffered what is believed to be a fractured nose after being kicked in the face. He was taken to the hospital.

Police obtained warrants for Attempted Murder and Assault Inflicting Serious Injury on David Leroy Moore II.

Chief Shirley said Moore was last seen wearing a white tank top and blue jean shorts. Moore may be in the Bolivia or Southport area.
