Bolivia man under $600,000 bond on child sex crime charges

BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — A Bolivia man faces several child sex crimes charges dating back to 2014.

The Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office arrested Michael Lee Denton, Jr, 27, yesterday.

He’s charged with one count of first degree rape, one count of statutory rape and four counts of indecent liberties with a child.

According to arrest warrants, the alleged crimes took place between October 29, 2014 and October 28, 2015.

The girl was 15 at the time.
