Bolton man attacked with hammer

COLUMBUS COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — The Columbus County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after a man claimed someone attacked him with a hammer.

It happened at Old 211 Street in Bolton around 2:45 this morning.

The 40-year-old victim reported he was hit in the head multiple times with a hammer and does not know why the suspect attacked him.

Investigators say the victim was treated at the hospital for his injuries.

As of this morning, there have been no arrests.
