Bolton Mayor race is settled

COLUMBUS COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — It is nearly two weeks since Election Day, and the process is just wrapping up in Columbus County after some double-checking in the race for mayor in Bolton.

The Columbus County Board of Elections did a discretionary recount of the votes for mayor on the Bolton precinct ballots. Absentee and one-stop voting ballots were not recounted, as there was only a question about the precinct ballots.

The official tally shows Frank A Wilson is the winner with 121 votes, Gary Graham got 111. The numbers are the same as the original count.
