Bond raised for mother charged in baby’s death, three others indicted

CAROLINA BEACH, NC (WWAY) — A mother charged with murder of her one-month-old infant appeared in court for the first time Monday morning.

In court, the judge increased Amy Miles’ bond to $350,000.

Miles is charged with second degree murder in the death of Adalynn Elizabeth Garner, who died on Jan. 20.

According to the District Attorney’s office, three others were also been charged in connection on November 9.

Sylvia Garner is charged with involuntary manslaughter and negligent child abuse causing serious bodily injury. Joel Garner is charged with negligent child abuse causing serious bodily injury. Roby Garner charged with negligent child abuse causing serious bodily injury.

Their court dates are all scheduled for Dec. 14
