Bones found off River Road identified

Confirmation today from the Chief Medical Examiner that the bones found in the woods near River Road last month are indeed those of Priscilla Rogers. A man walking in the woods found the remains December 30 on the west side of River Road about two miles south of Independence Boulevard.

Rogers had been missing since August. Evidence suggests that she was murdered, although the cause of death has not been determined. This is the closure Rogers’s brother had been seeking yesterday.

“I hope this can bring closure to this tragedy,” Larry Rogers said. “I just want to put my sister away like she’s supposed to be. And I’m just sick of the waiting”
