Boys’ lemons aid Gulf Coast fisherman
CAROLINA BEACH, NC (WWAY) — Two twin boys spent today out in the heat selling lemonade in Carolina Beach. They’re donating all of the money they made to help a fisherman in Louisiana.
Six-year-olds Hunter and Fisher Marshall went online with their mom and found a fisherman in great need of financial help. They have raised close to $200 selling lemonade.
Hunter actually came up with the idea, because their dad is a charter fisherman. The boys’ business was mainly supported by other fishermen in the area.
Hunter and Fisher are giving the money to Capt. Greg Henry in New Orleans, who says he teared up when he got the phone call. Henry says he lost everything in Hurricane Katrina. He has been going to a church to get money to pay his rent and electricity bill.
Henry says he’s going to use the money to buy groceries and maybe even go out to eat.
