Ashley High School student arrested after alleged kill list

NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — The New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office says a 15-year-old student has been arrested after allegedly making a threat at Ashley High School.

The sheriff’s office said it began investigating Friday after getting a tip saying the boy had a list of people’s names he wanted to kill.

The sheriff’s office searched his home and found nothing, but were able to arrest him after he allegedly tried to get another student’s help.

The student was charged with felony making a false report concerning mass violence on educational property.
