Brunswick Co. deputies investigate suspicious death

BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — Brunswick County Sheriff’s deputies are investigating what they say is a suspicious death.

At approximately 3 p.m. deputies responded to a welfare check on Simmons Rd. in the Ash community. When they got there they found Tony Kusta, 69, dead.

An autopsy has been scheduled to determine the cause of death, but investigators say the death does appear to be suspicious.
