Brunswick Co. Habitat for Humanity to help ‘ReStore’ Fayetteville homes

BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WWAY) – More than half of the Habitat for Humanity homes built in Fayetteville over the past 30 years were damaged during Hurricane Matthew, according to Habitat for Humanity of NC.

Brunswick County’s Habitat for Humanity wants to help.

Their three ReStore locations, along with ReStores across the state, will donate a portion of their proceeds from sales on November 17 to help rebuild the 93 Fayetteville Habitat homes that were flooded.

Habitat for Humanity NC Exec. Director Greg Kirkpatrick is coordinating the effort to get all 78 ReStores in NC to participate.

“We asked the ReStores to consider doing something we’re calling “ReStore Fayetteville,” said Kirkpatrick, who added that the response has been wildly enthusiastic.

He hopes that the 78 ReStores across the state can raise as much as $100,000 for Fayetteville.

You can participate in this effort by shopping at the Southport, Leland or Ocean Isle Beach ReStore locations on November 17.
