Brunswick Co. man wanted on drug charges turns himself in


BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — Deputies say the Shallotte man wanted on several drug charges has been charged.

On May 15, deputies said Joe Junior Bell, 34, was facing charges including trafficking heroin,trafficking MDMA, possession with intent to manufacture, sell or deliver heroin, possession with intent to manufacture, sell or deliver MDMA, maintaining a dwelling house used for keeping and selling heroin and MDMA and possession of drug paraphernalia. MDMA is also known as Ecstasy or Molly. Investigators say a search of Bell’s home led to them seizing more than 1,000 bags of heroin, 161 grams of MDMA and more than $13,000 in cash.

Jail records show he was booked this morning and is currently in jail under a $750,000 bond. Deputies say he turned himself in.
