Brunswick Co. Sheriff’s detective assigned to school system

BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — At the commission meeting Monday night, Brunswick County commissioners voted to amend a contract with the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office.

In addition to the 20 school resource officers provided by the sheriff’s office, the amendment to the contract is to assign a detective to the school system as well.

Commissioners voted unanimously to amend the contract adding a detective to all school cases.
