Brunswick County detectives looking for missing man


BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — The Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office is looking for a man who was last seen in Shallotte with his family.

In a release, the Sheriff’s Office said Arpad “Arpi” Carl Nagy, 53, was last seen on Kinlaw Drive in Shallotte on Sunday May 15 around 5 p.m.

Detectives said Nagy is originally from Virginia, but may be traveling to St. Simons Island, GA to visit a nephew. The release said Nagy is 5′ 9″ tall and weighs around 290 pounds.

Nagy was last seen driving a blue 2000 Ford Explorer 4-door with Virginia plate WN-3896.  The vehicle has rear bumper damage and a black and white oval sticker containing the letters “HUN”.
