Brunswick County school bus driver cleared, resigns

BRUNSWICK COUNTY,  NC (WWAY) — The Brunswick County school bus driver accused of assault with sexual motives involving children will not face charges.

The Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office says they have cleared Lonnie Crawford, 77, and the investigation is now closed.

Crawford had been suspended with pay.

Brunswick County Schools says Crawford resigned this morning and is no longer an employee.
