Brunswick County sex offender accused of being on school property
BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — A registered sex offender is accused of going onto school property for the second time in two years.
According to the arrest warrant, Christopher Jason Long, 33, went onto the campus of Leland Middle School on Monday. He’s charged with sex offender on child premises and probation violation.
In October of 2015, deputies arrested Long at North Brunswick High School.
Long was put on the sex offender registry following a 2009 conviction on charges of attempted indecent liberties with a minor. The victim was 13 at the time of the 2007 offense.
He is in the Brunswick County Detention Center under a $250,000 bond.
