Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office still under investigation

BRUNSWICK COUNTY — It’s been four months since the US Attorney’s Office handed down subpoenas to some deputies at the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office. The grand jury is meeting again this week, but unlike the last three months, no deputies from the sheriff’s office will be testifying. Sources say the investigation will be wrapping up soon. The US Attorney’s Office would not confirm that. The exact cause of the investigation has not yet been revealed.
